​Mike Marr was born in Pukekohe and is a New Zealand entrepreneur, he and his wife Terese are the founders and owners of TPT Group, Mike holds a number of governance roles.

Over 24 years Mike has led ten successful start-up companies and completed 14 acquisitions.

TPT Group comprises companies in the electronic security, data communications, information technology, security monitoring, innovation and artificial intelligence, finance, and commercial property sectors.

​He started off his career as a young electrical apprentice and holds qualifications in electrical trade, electrotechnology, an Advanced Dip. Business, Dip. Management, Dip. Integrated Risk Management and a Dip. Project Management.

In 2020, Mike was acknowledged as a Blake Leader Awardee. This prestigious award recognises inspirational New Zealanders whose leadership style has delivered high-impact results and contributed to a more sustainable future for Aotearoa.

2017, he was one of two Global recipients of the Beta Gamma Sigma Medallion of Entrepreneurship (the first recipient to be awarded the Global honour outside of the USA). The Medallion for Entrepreneurship is awarded to noteworthy Global business people who combine innovative business achievement with service to humanity. In 2014, he was a finalist in the EY Entrepreneur of the Year Awards for NZ.

Mike is a Deputy Chair of electricity lines company Waipa Networks, Chair of Rhema Media, and a Board member of The Runway Foundation., he is also an elected trustee of Counties Energy Trust.

He was previously a member of the AUT University Business School Advisory Board, and an Independent Director of Eqalis Pharmaceuticals.

Mike and his wife Terese founded The Runway Foundation in 2015, a registered NZ Charitable Trust providing support for families experiencing the challenge of ADHD but also to support the wider community. He is a strong believer in giving back to the community and supports several charities and community initiatives including Lifewise, Community Food Banks and Crisis Funds.

He is a Pukekohe High School old boy and he and his wife Terese are deeply supportive of many community initiatives.

Terese has a Bach Ed, and Dip Teaching from Waikato University, beginning her career as a Primary and Intermediate School Teacher in South Auckland. She then continued on to study Educational Leadership with Massey University and Community based Not-For-Profit Leadership with L.E.A.D.

She also was the Group Human Resources Manager for TPT Group and has held various Governance roles within the education sector, as well as on other commercial boards.

Terese is a descendent of Ngati Kahungunu iwi and lives in Pukekohe with Mike. At least two of her family have ADHD and so she is passionate about providing strong support for students and their families on the ADHD journey, particularly within the mainstream school system, and changing mindsets around ADHD in the community, so that it is celebrated as an asset, rather than a deficit.

Steven is the General Manager Commercial for TPT Group, he is a passionate finance executive with a successful track record across different industries, including retail, FMCG manufacturing, medical/healthcare, and supply chain.

He is a commercially focused finance generalist with extensive experience in strategy, FP&A, controlling, business partnering, continuous improvement, M&A’s, IT, cost accounting and project management. He has a strong expertise in treasury, financial risk management and internal controls.

Steven has a proven track record of coaching, mentoring and developing high performing teams. He has successfully delivered on a broad range of highly complex strategic initiatives, restructures and organisational projects, delivering short term cost savings and long term growth opportunities.

Rebecca is the Brand and Marketing Lead for TPT Group, and manages all marketing and comms planning, content, strategies, and activities.

Rebecca joined TPT Group in 2020 with over a decade of experience in marketing, events, design and communications roles, and a strong sales background. She has a Bachelor of Communications majoring in Events Management, and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Marketing.

Having carved out a niche working with businesses in tech, Rebecca enjoys the challenge and people-centred aspects of creating strong insightful brand stories that deliver results and create positive change.

In her day-to-day role, she collaborates with nearly every department across the Group to share who we are and uncover opportunities to lead the business forward with a cohesive marketing approach.

Outside of work, Rebecca describes herself as a mama and wife, a crafter, writer, photographer, music listener, sustainability-warrior, brunch-er, and lazy day adventurer.

Tony joined the Group in 2005 as the Central North Island Regional Manager for Advanced Security Group as part of the acquisition of Aspect Technology, an electronic security integrator in the Waikato and Bay of Plenty.

He is an experienced leader with a deep understanding of service and contracting businesses and led the integration of Aspect Technology, Concord Security, Integrated Consulting, and at the present time, Active Alarms and Everlert.

​He carries out the role of TPT Group Strategic Projects Manager and has supported acquisitions including assisting with due diligence and including acting in the role of General Manager of IT Engine.

Emma is the Executive Assistant to TPT Group’s CEO, Mike Marr. With a wealth of experience as a PA, she joined the company in 2019, stepping into a maternity leave position.

In her role, Emma is the chief organiser of TPT Groups family office, and is often the first point of contact for the business. She’s responsible for collating essential board reports, coordinating diaries and meetings, and orchestrating large scale events and functions for the wider group.

Emma brings with her a passion for fostering relationships and building trust with everyone she works with – especially those within the Executive Leadership Team and at Board level. She’s passionate about TPT Groups culture, and the sense of belonging it provides.

Confidentiality is one of her core values, and something that she upholds with the utmost seriousness, recognising the significance it plays in her role – something she has honed since her first admin role in 2006.

Originally from Scotland, Emma currently lives in Auckland with her young daughter. She enjoys spending time with friends and family, travelling to new places, and attending live music gigs.

Angela has grown with the wider group since 2009 and has extensive experience in administration and management with the Promessa Property Group business.

Prior to TPT Group she came from a background in Shipping & Logistics with the import and export of freight looking after a client portfolio for the Asia & US regions.

Angela is experienced with Body Corporates, leases, and property maintenance, ensuring our tenants are always supported.

With loyalty and integrity in supporting the wider group in all aspects of accounts, payroll, Wiri Prison Project, Fleet management, and social club events.

Angela loves working with great staff, learning, overcoming challenges, and growing with the company as it moves forward in new ventures.

A proud mother of two boys supporting them in their ventures and sporting activities. With her own interest in Representative Badminton through from Juniors to Seniors and now Masters.

Iain is an accomplished & experienced senior executive with over 20 years in the ICT sector, across African and ANZ markets. He has extensive product, marketing, strategy and sales background including a history of closing complex deals with key customers. As an implementer with a ‘can do’ attitude, Iain leads our team to carry through to completion. For the last 6 years Iain has been heavily involved in the IoT sector both at a network operators level and also taking end-end solutions to market.

Iain uses his passion for innovation, digital & disruptive technologies to evolve business performances & market offerings. A strategic thinker, Iain develops the big picture through strong analytical problem solving, and an understanding of key market trends and evolving/disruptive technologies.

​Iain is a member of the NZ IoT Alliance and sits of the Smart Cities working group within the Alliance.

Outside of work, Iain uses his ‘can-do’ approach for the benefit of the community whereby he is the founder and chairman of Maungakiekie Songbird, a central Auckland community-based project that supports conservation activities in and around Auckland’s One Tree Hill. Iain’s also a keen mountain biker so come the weekends you will find him out and about in various bike parks and trails around Auckland.

Hayden is the General Manager for Advanced Security Group, and is ultimately responsible for the leadership and management of the group.

Hayden has worked in the industry since 1999. He joined Advanced Security in 2010 through the acquisition of Systems.Com in Wellington, where he took on the lower north regional managers role. In 2017 Hayden took on the GM role for Advanced Security.

Hayden’s background is in sales and management. He has a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration Degree, and during his security career has also become board certified by ASIS International as a Certified Protection Professional and a Physical Security Professional. In 2020 he was the recipient of the NZSA visionary leadership award.

Hayden is comfortable analysing a P&L spreadsheet, reviewing his infamous revenue forecasting tool, chatting with customers, or pitching with the team.

Hayden loves working for a value-first organisation, that has a great vision, ethos and culture. He's immensely proud of his team, and all the support staff behind the scenes.

He says one of the best things about his role is getting to see so many people grow and develop throughout their career with Advanced Security. He always enjoys seeing members of his team take on new opportunities, and flourish in new roles.

Amanda is the Business Manager of IT Engine, leading and overseeing the business in Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch. Based in Wellington, she is part of a well-established team that have collaborated together over the last 14 years. With 3 adult children, family is very important to Amanda, which is why she has always valued how strong the team relationships are at IT Engine.

Amanda joined IT Engine in 2007 in a part-time accounts role, and by 2009 she became full-time working admin and scheduling. Before entering her current role, she eventually became the Operations Manager in charge of administration, logistics, and scheduling. With strong operational experience as well as service management, Amanda knows the business inside-out and has been an exceptional asset to the business nationwide.

Amanda is especially proud of the team culture they have created at IT Engine, and she is a very grounded leader with a cohesive team. Her technical knowledge has substantially increased while working for IT Engine, and she still surprises herself when talking to clients and advise them on technology solutions for the best possible service.

Rob is the Business Manager for Cablenet and an accomplished and experienced senior manager with over 25 years in the IT/Telecommunications sector. He possesses excellent relationship, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, enabling him to deliver positive results and effective solutions. Holding an ITIL foundation qualification, Rob has a natural aptitude for technology.

His extensive technical knowledge of products, coupled with analytical and problem-solving skills, allows Rob to build positive relationships with Cablenet teams and clients alike.

Outside of his professional life, Rob is a family man, married with four children, all boys. He has been actively involved in coaching junior sports during their early development. While he once had a passion for participating in sports, these days, he enjoys watching big games with his family.

In his leisure time, Rob indulges in his love for hunting, although he admits he's not as fit as he used to be. To aid in his hunting adventures, he recently purchased an E bike. Additionally, he is an enthusiastic fisherman and is always on the lookout to organise a team fishing trip.

Teresa is the General Manager of Human Resources for Advanced Group. She has significant senior executive experience in human resources management across a diverse range of service industries. These roles include establishing the human resources function as for publicly listed NZX top 50 Arvida Group as General Manager Human Resources for 6 years. She has also led HR within as a number of top-tier professional services firms, as well as local government and hospitality.

Teresa’s qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology and Sociology), and postgraduate qualifications in both Human Resources Management (Cert. PMIR) and Training and Development (Dip. Business Studies). She is a generalist practitioner with depth and breadth of experience across the full range of human resources specialties, including organisational development, employment relations and health & safety. A Chartered Member of HRNZ, Teresa is a past President of the Auckland Branch. Teresa is also a member of the board of NZSA (New Zealand Security Association).

Teresa is passionate about the power of good people management to unleash the potential within the business for the benefit of the business as well as those working there.

Don is the General Manager of Health & Safety and Environment for TPT Group.

He has a strong background in Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Management Systems and has held senior Health & Safety Management positions working for major multi-national companies in the UK, Europe, Middle East, and New Zealand.

Don started off his career as an engineering apprentice and has a diploma in Mechanical and Production Engineering. He has been a professional auditor for many years and holds professional audit qualifications, having spent many years as Certification Manager with one of the world’s leading certification bodies.

As a professional auditor he has been exposed to a diverse range of industry sectors and cultures in many different countries over the years, which he believes has given him a unique ability to view the world from many different angles and enjoys collaborating with people from all walks of life.

He has a real passion for Health, Safety and Sustainability practices and has always challenged himself to set and maintain high personal standards throughout his career.

Don is a self-confessed petrol head and rugby nut and spends most of his spare time either with a spanner in his hand or on the touch line at his local rugby club.

Robert is an experienced senior executive having held positions of General Manager and Managing Director during his 18 years at Electrix, one of New Zealand's largest Electrical and Gas contracting companies, where he oversaw a period of sustained growth.

He brings extensive commercial experience to the TPT Group board with a strong focus on people and safety.

Robert has significant experience in the Power Industry and holds an NZCE Electrical.

Previous governance roles include the industry-based EEA, and the PEET at University of Canterbury.

Amy Johnson is a respected Enterprise Business Technology and AI thought leader.

With a Business and Technology background, she is a Kiwi who is a global citizen studying at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland and returning to New Zealand to co-found a highly successful global AI and Customer Experience Technology company where she serves as Chief Customer Experience Officer and COO.

She has a deep knowledge of enterprise systems, digital customer experience, customer journeys, enterprise value chain processes, AI and how these can be transformed to deliver further tangible returns for enterprises and their customers.

She is currently a Director of MyWave Limited and Closeburn Station Management Company Ltd.

Amy holds a Bachelors Degree in Business /Managerial Economics as well as a Master of Arts in Business /Managerial Economics.

Amy has a proven track record of commercialising technology in global markets and helps companies with digital strategies, data strategies, business process optimisation, employee productivity improvements, investment in new technologies and end to end customer journeys that increase sales and take out significant costs while improving the customer experience.
